One of the quintessential Bay Area house DJs of the past three decades, Pete Avila helped pave the way for the underground scene as promoter and DJ for such legendary clubs as Carefree, Universe, Fag Fridays, Sound Factory, Product, Toon Town, Twirl, Funky Tekno Tribe, Osmosis, and more. His career took him around the globe, from 2002's massive 3D Project Singapore for World AIDS Day to headlining Twilo NYC's Jean-Paul Gaultier Party with Danny Tenaglia. As a producer and remixer, Avila has worked with Aretha Franklin, Rihanna, Martha Wash, Jocelyn Brown, Todd Terry, and more.

From 1993 to 2000, DJ Pete Avila's late night radio program "Your Mama's House" on 106KMEL was *the* spot on the dial every clubbgoer turned to on their way to the function—and on their way home, too. With hosts Foxxee Brown and fellow DJ, David Harness, Avila turned it out all night long with the latest house classics. You couldn't miss it!

Now, Your Mama’s House makes its triumphant return as a podcast and online radio show, Tuesdays, 8PM-10PM on FCC FREE RADIO with MC Jim Williams and special guests. Come celebrate this legend's deep and funky house sound on the Don't Make Me Wait dance floor!
